This brand was an American telecommunication equipment corporation at the first stage. It was the Motorola’s cellular phone division. And it was known as PCS or Personal Communication Sector. They were the first to launch the flip phone in the year 1990. Motorola had a huge impact on the analog phone market but they slowed down when it comes to the digital. But they joined the race by introducing the Razr which is a very thin flip phone. And recently they have made some smart phones having the Google’s Android operating system. In the year 2011 the cellular division of them was separated as Motorola Mobility.

In the year 2011 Google announced that they wanted to acquire the whole Motorola company and finally they did it. After finishing some process Google released the new logo of the company in 2013 and now the company is named as Motorola – a google company.
The Mobile Devices Division is known as Motorola Mobility since 2011. This new company involves themselves totally in the mobile phone business. Especially they produce smart phones.
The success story
Around the year 2002 and 2003 their mobile devices have improved a lot. They emphasize on three things – user friendliness, design and brand. User experience was their main section to be conscious. So they manufactured v300, v400 which were very user friendly devices. They also give some time to make some new styles and designs.
The most attractive device they revealed at that time was Moto Razr. They released the Razr V3 in the year 2004. This device attracted the users because of its excellent look and thin profile. When it was first released it was considered as an exclusive fashion phone. After that the company lowered the price of the phone and it got a huge response from the users. After releasing the Razr it was sold more than 130 million and it became the most selling devices for the brand.
Around the time of the iPhone and windows phone there were huge competition among the mobile companies. To compete with them the company decided to change their operating system into google’s free OS Android. After that they launched their first android phone name “Droid” . It was a huge success for them. Even the company was awarded so many prizes by some recognized institution. So after that success they revealed Droid 2 , Droid X, Droid Bionic and so on. By these products the company is going forward with some future dreams.

The price in BD is little higher than the international price. Because the dealers need to pay import tax and courier fees. Sometimes there is also a shortage in stock for demanding devices. In this case, the price may increase too. But overall, the difference should stay reasonable.
